Summary Description of Position: Responsible for the development, production, and post-production of all audio and video materials; including, but not limited to B2B and B2C marketing videos, onsite event footage and interviews, sales training videos, educational videos, live podcasts and corporate business meeting videos. Duties and Responsibilities: Pre-Production • Work directly with all levels of the organization to identify their goals, strategy and desired result. • Makes recommendations, presents ideas and coordinates with stakeholder to find best solution drawing on creative and technical expertise. • Leads script development. Assesses if script additions and amendments will edit properly in video and makes appropriate recommendations and/or changes to the script. • Stays current on company, industry and news trends in order to best organize and present video content. • Advances the production values of the company, shortens workloads and enhances the image of our brand and products. • Creates storyboards for live-action video to be shot as well as motion graphics and/or animations. • Creates shot-lists and scout locations for live-action video. • Casts, schedules, and coordinates talent for videos and shoots as needed. Production • Prepares all equipment, including props for video shoots and equipment rentals if needed. • Acts as director of photography for video shoots, including keeping shoots on schedule and being in compliance with public permissions. Responsible for all aesthetics as well as technical considerations; this includes all lighting, sound and camera operation. • Responsible for all principal shooting and audio and video recording. Post-Production • Designs and develops motion graphics and still graphics for videos when required. (After Effects) • Assembles video and audio in non-linear editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X) when needed. • Creates visual effects, including green screen work (compositing) and any work that cannot be created practically. This may be as subtle as a logo removal. • Gathers music, voiceovers and sound effects for use in the videos ("audio engineering"), including researching appropriate material and altering/editing material for our needs. • Renders video and audio for different delivery methods. • Troubleshoots in areas of production if necessary. • Transcodes video for use in DVD authoring software. • Performs related work and additional duties as needed or required. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Film/Video/Media Related Field or equivalent experience required • Minimum 3 years' experience with video production equipment, including lighting setups and various types of audio recording is required. • Extensive experience with video and audio editing platforms. Currently Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder but potentially the Adobe Creative Cloud (including Encore, Illustrator and Photoshop) or other platform. Skills/Competencies: • Ability to demonstrate and support the 5 Company Core Values: Integrity, Excellence, Unity, Accountability, Agility • Strong knowledge of Videography and camera operations, including set-up, lighting, green screen • Still photography experience a plus • Video editing, visual effects, compositing and motion graphics • Intermediate level experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills • Must be creative, energetic and disciplined in leading talent or team to meet business objectives • Strong attention to detail for esthetics, continuity and consistency with the company brand • General business acumen and strong knowledge of marketing process. • Social media platform experience a plus (YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter, LinkedIn) • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment • Willingness and ability to travel locally for filming • Ability to work alone or in group settings while meeting deadlines • Self-starter, able to take direction and complete projects with little supervision Physical & Mental: • Work extended hours when necessary • 20%-25% travel required • Work in an office environment using dual monitor computer screens • Sitting or standing for extended periods • Transporting and/or lifting up to 50 lbs of equipment up to 20% of the time may be required.
